Workshop Person Centered Stuttering Therapy:  Practical Applications Across Developmental Stages of Children & Teens (16 hours)

The workshop will be conducted in English.

Kristin Chmela, M.A., CCC-SLP BCS-SCF, ISHA Fellow, and former Chair of the American Board of Stuttering, Cluttering, and Fluency.

More than 35 years of experience specializing in stuttering.

Owner and president of Chmela Communication Center in the Chicago area and co-founder of Camp Shout Out in Michigan, where she directs training and therapeutic programs for kids who stutter, ages 8-18.

Lead author of two books on working with school-age children who stutter and has conducted hundreds of workshops worldwide, teaching speech therapists how to apply evidence-based practices.

Co-producer of the free video "Branch Out: Kids Who Stutter Support Teachers" and holds certifications in yoga and mindfulness.

Learning Objectives

From this workshop participants will be able to:

1).  Document Client Vision Boards across multiple case examples

2).  Develop relevant treatment goals for cases across developmental stages

3).  Engage in multiple experiential learning activities designed to enhance clinical effectiveness
